Attending to varying shifts in banking habits.

In 2015, the UBL Digital App and O3 Interfaces came together to redefine mobile banking apps.

Online banking wasn't particularly handy initially. Despite the fact that we could access our bank accounts from anywhere in Pakistan, there were still reservations pertaining to user-orientation. This compelled people to lean on branch banking for support and accessibility. But that didn't sit well with us. We wanted to change that.

If we had online banking, why wasn't it living up to basic standards? We had the technology already, which meant all we needed to do was tailor it to consumer needs and phone function. We succeeded in our plans because we researched from a consumer's point of view and didn't give much weight to corporate requirements.

We wanted an inclusive design for a banking app that was accommodating, convenient, and simple to use for people of all ages. Most importantly, it had to not be boring. This banking app was intended to change the face of the game. This project was challenging yet equally rewarding. We needed to appeal to the younger generation while making sure we did not compromise the older ones.

Upgrading the user experience.

The blend was perfect for the app. It combined minimalist design with advanced technology. It respected the vision and considered the reason they took on this project in the first place. Banking apps take our time. We worry about secure payment gateways, easy interfaces, and understanding where our money goes. It took us a while to get there, but we made it.

Inclusivity – fostering a habitat.

The UBL Digital app was designed with the consideration that it needs to be inclusive. A mobile banking app is a basic need for anyone, regardless of age. It's supposed to provide assistance, not confusion. The minute you tap on the app, you'll naturally feel it was created for you.

Safe. Air-tight. Swift.

Cut straight to the chase: Within a fraction of a second, log in via face ID or password and use the app accordingly.

Count your climate impact

The UBL Digital App attempts to play a pivotal role in going green. Not only do you save paper, but you can now also visualize how much you're contributing to saving the planet.

Digital onboarding

You can now open a bank account with just your fingerprint from the comfort of your home.

Design's more than what meets the eye. An earthy scent that warms the air after the first rain; the grip after having a hearty meal. That's our aim with tech. We don't want it to walk alone. It's good to have a friend beside you. Design is that, an upgrade.

A virtual showcase of innovation and sustainability.

The virtual space on Spatial.io introduces UBL Digital App's banking channels, awards and features pertaining but not limited to car loans. This addition adds to the bank's drive to make banking easier for its consumers. The bank also keeps sustainability in mind.
